Life Means What?

"For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a path-way through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers in the desert!  Yes, I will make springs in the desert, so that my chosen people can be refreshed.” Isaiah 43:19

AIR MILES FOR ANiC As part of the strategy to reduce the costs for delegates to attend Synod 2009. we are asking ANiC members to consider collecting Air Miles Reward Miles for ANiC during July and August.

Copies of the AIR MILES REWARD MILES card with the ANiC collector number on it are available to be picked up on the entrance hall table. Simply show the card to the cashier when you make a purchase.

ANiC Legal Defence Fund In the Diocese of Niagara lawsuit against ANiC, the diocese has been awarded $75,605.27 plus GST in costs; the diocese was asking for $236,898.03.

St. Aidan’s in Windsor are also having to defend themselves against the Diocese of Huron; the situation is similar to Niagara.

In New Westminster the large trust court case is underway. St. John’s Shaughnessy has been generous in setting up a one million dollar trust fund to aid with the legal fees for all ANiC churches. $1M sounds like a lot of money, but with all the legal battles being fought between dioceses and ANiC churches, we estimate that at least another $400,000 will be needed for ANiC parishes east of the Rockies.

Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to contribute to this fund. If he is, you can contribute through your offering envelope by marking the amount designated for the legal fund on the envelope or online Here

FOOD FOR LIFE We very much appreciate the donations of food and plastic bags which are used each week for our food deliveries. The most helpful bags are the normal sized grocery bags rather than large ones. “I assure you, whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”Matthew 25:40
